Daisy - Arban Sweet Solitaire
16/7/95

Picture
Arban Sweet Solitaire (Daisy) was bred by Ann & Barry Cook of Arban Great Danes, out of a fawn dog (Ch. Eppwood Americano) and a fawn bitch (Classy Pamelia of Arban)  16/7/95

I got Daisy when she was about 7 months old, I had her in a partnership with the breeder.  She was a little nervous of strangers when I got her as the breeder hadnt had a lot of time to take her to ring craft classes, and she hadnt been shown, so it was all new to her, but she made great progress. I showed her at the club matches, where she did well, and a couple of exemption shows.

Then I entered her in her first Open Show in Uxbridge, (Wembley & District) They didnt have Great Dane classes so I entered her into A.V.N.S.C. Puppy. (judge Sheila Alcock) she won her class out of 12 dogs. Her write-up in the dog world :-

"
Gt Dane. beautiful pup, great style, well muscled, heavy oval bone, good pasterns, well arched feet, body deep, elbows well tucked, reachy stride, strong back to muscular quarters, sweet, intelligent expression, admired her greatly, She must do well."

She was shown at a couple of other Open Shows and got placed, and I even ventured to a Champ Show with her. Showing her became harder as I found it impossible to get any weight on her, whatever she ate, she burnt up so quickly, as she was so active. So I made the decision to let the breeder have her back. She wasnt shown anymore and was kept living out the rest of her life as a pet living with her mum again.
