Teigan - Stegill Lady Legend at Nikami
6/3/09
Teigan was bred by Gill Sumner out of Stegill Earthly Eclipse (Grant) and Stegill Andromena (Rosie) who is older sister to Taylor. I didn't get her until she was six months old, but had been involved in training her at ringcraft from 11 weeks. I liked her from when I first saw her, so when I got the chance to acquire her I was over the moon.
She had already been entered into Driffield Champ Show, so off she went to her first show. I was over the moon, she got 1st place in Minor Puppy Bitch at her first show. Judge Anne Lunt.
Write up from Dog World 30/10/09 - Fawn b/m, good quality puppy with overall appearance, good shaped head, dark eye, enough length of neck into good lay of shoulder, good length of chest, tuck-up & topline, good bone, tight feet, well angulated, short coupled, one to watch in the future.
At Wrexham & District Open Show, Teigan was shown in the AV Class and was short-listed to the final 8 for Best In Show and then awarded Reserve Best Puppy in Show under judge Mrs. J. Chalmers (Chethang). Clitheroe & District Open Show, Teigan got awarded BPIB, BOB, Working PG2 & Working G3. Lichfield Open Show, under judge Ric Beall, Teigan was awarded BPIB & RBOB and under judge Alan Mease was awarded Working PG2.
Teigan did very well throughout Junior but missed her Junior Warrant by 2 points. She had a very successful day at the Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show under judge Jeff Luscott, 2nd in Junior (behind the RCC winner) and 1st in Graduate. Write Up as follows:
2nd Miss M Abbott – Stegill Lady Legend at Nikami. Carries the shape and strength in outline but not quite the animation in head of 1, I Liked her style with a good true action on the move, shes coming on well and will push for honours with the right development.
Teigan has had a break from the show ring for a few months, giving her time to mature, but will be back out in 2011.
